Kumar gave lectures on various topics in English Language and Literature in
IGNOU, FM , JNAN VAANI in the month of August 2005.
Prof. G.
Sorna Muthuraj participated in the “National Symposium on Contemporary Indian
Theatre” organized by Ethiraj College on the 2nd and 3rd
December 2005.
Prof P.
Poongundran, Prof. R. Mohanraj and Prof. G. Sorna Muthuraj participated in the
Regional Seminar on “Materials for Teaching English at the Tertiary Level in
Global Environment” at Loyola College on 17th December 2005.
Prof P.
Poongundran and Prof. G. Sorna Muthuraj attended the Annual Conference of ELTAI
on “The English Classroom: Empowerment through Spoken English” at Ethiraj
College on 10th and 11th of February 2006.

ASSOCIATION
The
English Association was inaugurated on 21st December 2005.by Dr. R.
Ananthan, M.A., Ph.D., former Head of the Department of English of our College.
The
English Association organized a meeting on “The Skills of the English Language”
on 2nd March 2006.
The
Valedictory Function of The English Association was held on 29th
January, 2006. Mr. Anand Subramaniam, an Industry Consultant, gave the
Valedictory Address.
